Intermittent Blower Problem

Post by loftustowncrier » Sun Jul 05, 2009 2:46 pm

Hi everyone, at last we have our Bongo back (5 weeks off the road getting a new engine). Sounds and runs great, and is now safely fitted with low coolant alarm and engine saver. Woohoo!

There's something strange happening with the front blowers though - they work sometimes, and don't at others. I've checked the rods 'down below' and they're all attached and moving fine. The fan is still blowing (you can hear it behind the vents), and it responds to being switched up and down (i.e. faster and slower). It blows perfectly fine through the vents one second, then the air stops coming through.

I've read loads about fuses, resistors and rods coming out of plastic holders but haven't come across this before. Please help!
