Brake discs and stuff

Post by tattoodaisy » Thu Jun 25, 2009 5:47 pm

Ok, not asking for stuff, just advice, I need brakepads & discs. One garage quoted me £95 per disc, then I saw another offering them at £22. Could this be the difference between genuine and oem? Pads seem to be aout the same price everywhere..about £40 a set +vat. handbrake shoesaround £60.

Could anyone who's recently bought some let me know a rough figure please?

Thank you XXXX

I'd try Bongobits as they are established Bongo parts suppliers whose prices also seem pretty reasonable, so they should make a good 'marker' for prices (and you can buy from them too if it makes sense!)

PS - I thought handbrake shoes were way more than that for Bongos. But, someone found a source that can re-shoe them (they are much thinner linings than a std drum brake lining) at much lower cost so have a search on here (or in members area) for more info. on that. 8)
