LOSS OF POWER

Loss of power on bongo had the filter changed has advised still not got any omph only doing 8 miles to the gallon any ideas garage cant seem to sort the problem

Which filters were changed?

I think the knowledgeable ones on here will suspect the banjo filter on the fuel line, as it's not, AFAIK, a standard service item (A Bongo knowledgeable garage might clean it out).

Do you know where it is to clean it? (You need a 14mm socket and a cotton-bud), will take 10 mins to do.

The glow plugs should, I think, only affect the starting, as they're not "in-use" when running normally.

I did this job yesterday, and couldn't shift the allen screw (bottom arrow). Instead, by undoing the 14mm nut (top arrow), and carefully inserting and withdrawing a cotton bud, the spring and filter came out.

Of course, if the pipe to it is blocked, the prob will not be solved, but it's a start.

I had the same problem SD, I think there's less chance of losing bits if you don't undo the allen screw & move the banjo section.

I'd had a bad day, couldn't undo the drop-link bolts, had to take the fuel filter housing off to change the filter, and kicked the drained oil over the drive (read someone else did that too )

All sorted now (local garage now doing the links on Thurs), but I was definitely the statue and not the seagull on Sun!

I have merged your threads, to make it easier for people to see what has been previously suggested.
Is yours a twin battery model (Winter version)? If so, is the switch by your right knee (with a picture of an engine on it) on. This works a valve in the exhaust to allow the engine to warm up quicker. However, once the engine is hot, it'll run really badly.
