Rocker cover

Post by Focus on Life » Tue Apr 14, 2009 7:56 pm

Hi everyone

I'm not quite sure if this question fits in "techie stuff" or "wanted" but I hope you can help or give me some thoughts all the same

At weekend, my fella serviced my Bongo for the first time and also replaced the rocker gasket as it had been leaking for a while. All went well, new gasket went on fine, right up to the end when he tightened the nuts too tight and cracked the rocker cover in 2 places

So we're on the hunt for a new rocker cover if anybody knows the whereabouts of one for sale? And/or any thoughts about welding the cracks? Theyre not huge but there are two of the beasties.

We're in touch with Adrian in Bury (Japan something or other, cant quite remember his trading name at the mo) who has said welding is an option and can recommend someone but I'm not sure what the difference in cost could be between sourcing a new cover and welding?

We're based in Bacup near Rawtenstall

Thanks for your help, hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend! :)
