May have a more straightforward solution.

Maplin do a Universal ISO Terminal http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=98789 which would be straightforward to repatch onto the loom using the info on the audio factsheet plus the wiring info from a Goodmans manual I trawled from the internet (it appears Goodmans use a standard wiring colour scheme across different head units). Quite a good solution as I'd end up with a standard ISO connector.

Will have to make a trip to Maplins tomorrow!! :D

Bigdaddycain - don't think I'll need the Mazda plug but I'll post back on how I get on with the Maplins one (in case it all goes wrong).

Thanks for the help everybody!

Do you ever get the feeling that no ones taking any notice to your posting . the loom adapter that I have bought and fitted for £2.50 is brand spanking new and works perfectly the same item I have seen in Halfords and other car accessory shops sells between £10 and £15. doh. :?: :?: :?:

Sorry Newbie, you're quite right.

I'd have to cut off the Mazda connectors though since I'm missing the Mazda ISO connector on my loom.

The bare wires one from Maplin is more expensive at £5.99 but Maplin is 5 minutes away from the house so I'll take the £3.50 hit for the convenience  Also, I need to pick up some connectors to reconnect the loom anyway so I'll probably end up there anyway.

Attached a new ISO connector to the loom using snap lock connectors (all from Maplins). All now working ok and a blooming sight tidier than than the mess of spade connectors and electrical tape thsat was there before. Just need to figure out :? why only the rear speakers are working and not the front ones (probably not there!!!).
