WOW what a weekend that was! Friday was cold but sunny, saturday I spent a couple of hours hanging on to my awning when the hammering wind subsided slightly I sat and read my book out loud like it was some kind of prayer lol. Sunday was a brilliant day probably the best this year. We stopped on for a bit cos we live close.

Thedogs, sorry you had probs and I couldn't help - I had my own. But I heard you had help there. Thanks Harry for looking in on me and making sure I was ok. I got some vid of my awning in the wind I will upload soon.

We wouldn't have missed that weekend for the world, those of you we met you are a great bunch of people thanks for making us welcome.

Cheers Harry GREAT one hee hee

Hi, many thanks to Harry, well done for organising this. The conditions were a bit wet on Saturday but we still had a good time. Not only did people not let the weather get them down but they had a party. Special thanks to wooden wheel for the loan of a gas cannister, you saved our bacon. Thanks to Muz family for sharing their awning shelter with us and being such good company. Saw old friends again Gary and Tina and baby Louis, Hazel and Jim, and Little Jobby nice to meet up again. On Sunday we had a walk in the sunshine, including caves and then ice-cream. This meet showed the northwest/yorkshire group at its resilient best. All of the kids were great, a credit to their parents. Thank you all once again for your lovely company and for creating a special weekend. Looking forward to doing it all again soon. Not sure if we have any pics to post, what we do have were taken by muzette. hatris

Sorry could only make this afternoon, was a bit worrying seeing loads of Bongos going in the other direction.
Nice seeing you all again especially Hatris and Chell's Pink Mobile. Joined Muz's convoy home, and stopped off for lunch. Hope the leaking Bongo got home (sorry forgot your name) safe and sound.

Excellent meet thanks Harry. It was the way a meet should be - relaxed, sunny, wet, windy, fun, puddly and all warm and fuzzy.

Friday night was rowdy and boozy and Saturday night was mellow and warm and we had a fabulous time. We came back happy and relaxed all ready to pick up mini mc who cried and cried because he didn't want to come home because there is 'better telly at grandpa and grandmas!!)

Can't win really can we ?

What can I say.

Home safe & sound around 15 mins ago, purely down to the support & dedication of the NW crew.

Happily sitting in t'Bongo at Silverdale around midnight saturday, engine on & heater running for a while, the old Haydyn Beep piped up. Too late & too wet to do much about it, shut it down & got some kip.

This morning header tank empty. Top rad hose had sprung & dumped overnight.

I'll post a seperate thread about the outcome but the short version is . . . BDC (who left yesterday) & DBO (who left this morning) zipped into Wheelquick on a Sunday, collected the hose & blasted back to Silverdale, fitted the hose, bled the system & got me back on the road again within a couple of hours.

Hats off to to you fine chaps. =D>

Pics to follow . . . .

Great meet, great company - youngest went through all her clothes by Saturday - she "found" a slurry pit just one hour after getting there  Had a good laugh on Friday night with Wayne and Tims jeans - Saturday was a bit soggy - the rain hurt when when we were getting the dogs awning down  but today was like a summers day. Thanks to Harry for a great meet and to Brian for the mini convoy - a few people must have thought they were seeing double.
