Removing/re-fitting aerial
Anyone know how to remove an aerial from a Bongo? Mine is broken, so I got a replacement from eBay. Trouble is, the only way I see to get the broken one off would involve removing the whole "mount", then trying to separate the aerial itself from the mount. The other problem, in my case, is that the screws holding the mount in place have been damaged to the point where I can't move them with a screwdriver.
Re: Removing/re-fitting aerial
Thanks keefysher. I searched the forum but didn't think to check the fact sheets.
I'm sooo glad I gave up on changing it last weekend. I guessed, correctly, that I probably needed to prise out the black plastic centre cap, but was firtunately too scared to try it without checking with you guys. Had I proceeded, I'd probably still be looking for the damned ball bearing now!

Re: Removing/re-fitting aerial
Don't know if this will help. Keefyfisher is spot on about the little ball bearing!
I changed mine about two months ago and did exactly what the factsheet said to do,the only thing I did extra was, before I undid anything,I put a really strong magnet close to where the ball bearing is housed and as soon as I moved away the old aerial, the ball bearing fell out but was attracted to the magnet
With having a pebbled drive,I would never have found it!!
Just a thought
