Hi,
Could a seasoned expert give me their view pls?
i had a coolant pipe changed, garage was informed of bleeding process.
after collection and drive home, next morning coolant level needed just a small top-up, there was still coolant in the header tank
both front and rear blowers produce lots of heat
given it several hour long runs with rock solid 11 o'clock reading
so it all sounds good so far...
I checked the bottom hose from rad today after a short run up to temp and it was still cold, all the other accessible ones were hot.
Should i be concerned and bleed again?
many thanks in advance, driving to France at weekend so just a bit paranoid!
cheers,
bongalong

Re: should i bleed?
If in doubt, I'd definitely give it a bleed, for the sake of an hour of your time at the outside it'll give you peace of mind that you know it's been done properly

Re: should i bleed?
Sounds o.k but take it for a really good run (an hour )and as soon as you stop keep the engine running and feel the bottom hose. It should be warm....Rev it at 2500 for 5 mins and feel it again....Keep doing this till it's HOT.
I still thik you are o.k. but just to be sure!!

Re: should i bleed?
My bottom hose is either cold or lukewarm, unless I've given the beast a good thrashing. It certainly doesn't get hot on short trips.

Re: should i bleed?
happy to report bottom hose was warm to hot after 70 mins of driving and after a 5 minute 2500 rpm idle was hot.
seems good to go.
thanks all.
