The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
At this year's AGM it was agreed that the current arch enemy of the Bongos is the Nissan Elgrand.
Before I write to "The Padre" ( see http://www.elgrand.co.uk) informing him of an opening of hostilities (and perhaps challenging him to a fight), what form should our emnity take?

Re: The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
I'm a friendly bongo owner and am proud to say I don't have or want enemies.
I'm refusing to abide by the agm's descision so I suppose I now qualify for disciplinary action.
I'm pleased to be mates with anyone...I KNOW I've got the best vehicle in the world so why get snotty.

Re: The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
The NW/YORKSHIRE crew have had joint meetings with the ESTIMA /ELGRAND/PREVIA (whatever they are called) clubs(Winsford) (Tatton Park) and a nice bunch of guys/gals, apart from their funny taste in vehicles.
Paul 9 organises meets for them as well (a forum member) So as for being The Arch Enemy ,not for me.
I know this is just for fun, but some people may take it serious.

Lost without my Bongo.
Re: The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
I agree, but as the Bongomaster I am obliged to take forward conference decisions, even if I disagree with them
I may even have to write to Hinckley Council about their barriers

Will I kinda agree with that. The VW Californian leaves me cold. I'd love to have one, so I could sell it, buy a nice Bongo and use the difference on a diesel binge outmayk19 wrote:Cant we all get on together as the Far Eastern MASSIVE and face the German enemy ? that is the true enemy of the Bongo..

Re: The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
Think back to the 1940's.
We had the Lancaster, Spitfire & Hurricane. They had the Me109, Stuka & the Me110.
All fine examples in their field of duty.
The difference being, this is a battle, not for the crown of World Domination, but a fight to prove to the world of infidels who express that "Whats A Bongo?" level of mentality, that we drive a modern classic.
That there is a superior vehicle out there that stands head & shoulders above the rest. A machine that (with care) copes with more than humanity can throw at it, one that should be the envy of every educated person on the planet. Why have Mc Donalds when steak at Waitrose costs less & tastes better?
Luckily, for us wot own them already, numbers of these fine beasts are limited. There will always be the Great Pretenders, these people need to be shown their place.
This isn't a war, this is more serious than that.
They should be given the opportunity to admit defeat.
To quote a phrase - You've Been Bongo'd.
Nuff said.

"Abatement in the hostility of one's enemies must never be thought to signify they have been won over. It only means that one has ceased to constitute a threat".
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: The Arch Enemy of the Bongos
My view is that anyone who owns a similar vehicle does so for the same lifestyle reasons that we own our Bongos, so they're mates the enemy is Gordon ******* Brown.
