oil specs for bongo,s

hi all ,,, as i am in the engineering field ,, toolmaker to be precise,,,i use / order a lot of coolant,grinding fluids from my Q8 oil supplier.... as before when i was into the jap modding scene and my friends had superbikes... i was able to get motor / gearbox oil or what ever oils were wanted by my friends and i , at a much discounted price .

now at present i have been checking the site for specs on the oils used by the bongo ...engine , gearbox and diff...but i cant find the specs...

once i have the specs, i will be able to ask for a price per container (1lt - 5lts) on the diferent oils

once i have the prices , i will then ask if any one would like any at the discounted price?

the oils will all be sealed and new from stock

so if any one could reply with the specs i will see what i can do

if we are quick enough and i can get through to my Q8 reps fast enough i might be able to get oils to the bash for you

but all depends on speed

According the the fact sheet the engine needs 10w/30 not 15w/40 and some people consider that using ??w/40 affects fuel consumption quite noticeably.

hi all....just getting the price on the 10w/30

should have it today

will post as soon as i get it

prob only comes in 25 ltr drums, but it does knock the price down per litre

that,ll be 4 service lots for around the 50 quid mark

i will see if i can get it cheaper, and get the vat taken off

Q8 T500 10W/30 FOR DIESEL ENGINES

WORKS OUT TO 52 POUNDS plus any delv charges i incurr (but i will try to order some company stuff and get it free

more i get the less delivery would be

just looked at halfords prices and it works out to 4 pounds per ltr

thatll be 104 quid for the Q8

IM PUTTING MYSELF RIGHT OUT FOR THIS ONE, but if no 1 wants any so be it

if you want any , i can bring to the bash if you give me enough time to order

and like i said prev, they will be sealed and i can give you the Q8 spec sheet

you say 24 quid for 5 ltrs of gearbox oil ???

if you do the sums = 25 ltrs of Q8 auto 15 is 2.14 pence per ltr

2.14 x 25 = 53.50 x 17.5 % vat = 9.36 + 53.50 = 62.86

take into account some delivery costs etc and take it to 70.00 pounds

thatll be 4 changes on the gear box for 17.50 each

and you say 24 quid for 5 ltrs ,,, but you need 6 ? so does that means you need more than 5 ?

you say costco do 25 ltrs of oil for 32 quid is that including vat on top or inclusive ?

is that the 10w/30

ive never heard of costco so i wont knock it... but Q8 is worldwide ,,,, any way check your products against theirs ..... web link in earlier listing....

but i know Q8 is a quality product and we have used their machine oils / coolants for 9 years now and have not looked back

well as i was just offering some services i thought may help some that were not as fortunate to have a cash and carry card to stores such as costco and makro etc

only trying to help guys save a few pence at my expense just to be friendly

but i guess i shan,t bother now

worked out to just over 12 quid for an oil change with Q8 oil

as we agreed 17 odd quid to do the gearbox (but over four years )

but on that issue a good saving because oil will only rise from now and fellow bongo owners could have shared the 25 ltr barrels

but no problem as i will now withdraw any offers
