You can use a tablespoon full of clean engine oil for a wet compression test hoggman,do a dry test first, (dont forget to disconnect the plug leads after marking the firing order first, and block open the fuel pump throttle plate, remove all the sparkplugs)

You dont want to see an increase on the compression gauge with a wet test! Thats a piston ring/cylinder problem more than likely...

Don;t use too much oil in the test,it can give a false reading...
