There's enough space on top of the exhaust maniflod to fit a stainless steel box for a couple of mince pies..............

Should be ready in about 10 miles!

Or fire bricks so you can have a storage heater in the Bongo for green heat.

Right, the scavvy fan override has been done!.

Gave the engine a fifteen minute run standing still, switched the fan on and ran it for a further 10 minutes. The temp needle definitely dropped back a bit

.

Only thing is that i have complete control over the fan, and the sensor no longer controls it

. As im not mechanically minded like that, i cant remember what he said as to why the sensor could not be left to work it as well!.

But then a useful mod i think and im sure it will work out fine, it has had a good result so far.

If you want to have a peep at it at stourport you are more than welcome, I dont know entirely how it was done, but i know where he was fiddling

We used a foglight relay with a continental fuse in it. And Blue illuminated switch.

Excellent coco. What's it like when running - can you hear it in the cab over the engine. I can't understand why an on-on switch couldn't be fitted so the fan relay (presume it has a relay) could take its feed either from the sensor or direct. Strange that

Your guess is as good as mine on that one mike, he is a trustworthy guy that knows his stuff.

you can only hear it if you open the door, i cant hear it from the inside. The switch is illuminated but you can only see it in the dark.

I wont forget it though.

Can't think it matters if you forget to switch it on as they hardly ever seem to come on in UK climate. Similarly, can't think it matters much if you forget to switch it off as it ought to be as robust and long-lifed as an electric radiator fan. I'll try and do mine at some point before summer arrives if I can find time
