how much oil in the manual gearbox and where to check

2.5 litre of pure long life gear oil SAE 75w-90.

As for where to check, you need to remove the filler plug and check it's just about level with the hole. :?

thanks for your quick responce,but i have two filler plugs close together,on the left hand side,one is a torque plug and one isa square type

From what I can see, there is a drain plug on the bottom plate on the square section (bottom face plate,with bolts around the edge), and just to the right there is another drain plug protruding at 90 degs to the first one mentioned, its the plug just above that, which is the filler plug .
