Bongo Towing Mirrors

Post by gazza » Fri Jun 22, 2007 7:29 am

Has anyone fitted towing mirrors to a Bongo for Caravan towing?
Does anyone know which ones fit the best?

Thanks

I would go for a little tow around to see if you need to. You might find the mirrors are big and wide enough to not bother.

Hi,

I use a towing mirror which is fitted to the vehicle mirror by way of a suction cup. if my memory serves me it was £23.50 from my local caravan accessory supplier. works well and adjusts when the bongo mirror adusts

Greetings

I use the type that have 2 rubber straps that wrap around the mirror
housing.
You can pick em up fron most camping/caravan accessory shops for bet
£5 to£10......no problems with these at all.

I also agree with Smartmonkey. If im not towing my caravan a mega
distance i dont bother, the bongo mirrors give excellent rear visibility.BUT
weigh up the fact that it is illegal notg to tow without them

Bongo Towing Mirrors

Post by johnnybee » Sat Jun 23, 2007 9:02 am

Hi,
Like Bongoplod I too use the mirrors that strap onto the standard door mirror.
They are more than adequate for my 7 foot van and you can still see back with the Bongo mirrors.
All depends how wide your van is, a lot of new ones are 7ft 6in and some continentals even wider.
There is new legislation about towing mirrors although I have not read it.
A caravan magazine should help.
Hope this helps.
