If you want a happy outcome to this saga....I suggest you get your Bongo to Allans/ADS/Ian Taylor or one of the other recommended garages and let them get the head for you and fit it...you will then have a warranty and a job well done....whilst at it consider the water pump/Rad/hoses etc....bite the bullet and have a proper job and a bongo which will go on for another 100000 miles.

I am considering going to see Ian i have contacted him waiting a reply, i have already changed the Rad two weeks ago and the water pump at the same time and the Stat, Hoses as we discussed i purchased Silicone Blue ones which im now going to relist on ebay as they seem to have a bad rep, if i can source a head from Ian or Allan i am more than capable of fitting myself its just ensuring that its the correct one from a reputable supplier thanks for your concern though.

Jamie

Ady mentioned checking the head set up before fitting. Check through this post to find out why.

Heres the details of where i got my Cylinder Head :

Jamie Cross

[email protected]
Direct Dial: +44 (0)1353 727639
Fax: +44 (0)1353 720362

http://www.ivorsearle.co.uk

These guys deal with AMC and Mazda only the heads are brand new high quality castings and as per everyones advice its worth spending a few more pounds to get the right quality kit Ebay for me has been shocking the last few years and no protection so go to some one you can trust.
Hope this helps someone
