Eastern Counties, Dunwich Meet.

To celebrate 10 years since the formation of the Bongo Fury owners club, Sunday 24th February 2013 has been designated as National Bongo Day. What we have in mind is a series of events in various locations across the UK & Ireland where Bongonauts can get to meet each other and perhaps have a Sunday lunch.

Eastern Counties, Dunwich Meet.

Post by johnnybee » Sun Feb 17, 2013 6:43 pm

Hi
With the usual promptness of the Eastern Counties we have at last decided to do something for this momentus day.
We will meet at the beach car park Dunwich Suffolk IP17 at 1100hrs ish.
After a chat and some photo's we will hopefully get some lunch and at least a pint.
Probably at The Ship Inn in Dunwich.
Some will be camping at a local site, details later.
See all you East Anglians there.

Perhaps we left it just too late!
We will still be there, I am sure others will join us when they realise it is happeningg

Unfortunately i'll not be able to make this meet as i can't camp saturday night due to family commitments and a 200 mile round trip is a lot in one day, Instead i will be attending the Rutland water meet as it's only 38 miles from me, if there is another camp out meet at this venue i'd defo be interested with a little more notice.

Well we did it =D>
All six of us, and one was a dog.
I learned a lot today.
The East Coast in February isn't cold and windy it's ******* cold and windy
The Ship at Dunwich does lovely Sunday roasts :D
Wendy 'n' Alan are nice people and John is, well, just John, chatty and friendly :)
And I still can't upload photo's to The Forum
A very satisfactory day, we can say "we woz there".
Hope all the other meets went really well and everyone had a great time.

Cold Mr Bee :? :? - just a normal summer's day on the east coast   - I may be stretching the truth a little there   I actually braved the beach, before you arrived, and it was very refreshing - I must have stayed there for 5 or 6 seconds
Good to see you and Jan again and to meet Wendy and Alan 8) - it was not ideal for their first meet but, hopefully, they haven't been put off any future meets 8)
