Fishing

Can we fish in the river at the back of the site, is it a day ticket job, I would like to know if anyone else is interested cos I can't tie knots with one hand.

Yes you can fish in he river severn at he back.
It was £7 for a weekly ticket last year.
But to be honest not much comes out of there .

I had a perch from there last year, felt guilty because my kids caught nothing, even after picking the best spots. :lol:

I found maggot the best, a bit chewy though. :oops:

I didn't bother last year, as I only caught titchy perch the previous year :roll:

It's grown again since then, it's massive now. :^o :lol:

It must be the only fish in the village.

See tiddlers, from a vast amount of water known as the servern i would expect at least a nice chub or barble but i spoke to a local and said you dont get anything like that on this stretch..

Indeed, I used to get some really good chub, just a few miles downstream at Holt Fleet :roll:

Exactly what the guy in the fishing shop in town told me. You need to travel further upstream to find anything decent. I couldn't even find any pike.

Bewdley town centre usually fishes well,and, I might be wrong, I think its free fishing there.

Aww i forgot about there the stretch of the severn in he town is classed as one of the best for barbel in the uk.
We was there last year an sat watching them trotting for barbel.
You must have wadders though.
You buy day tickets i think from the tackle shop o the corner.
