Saturday Night Band

Post by Ian » Tue Feb 17, 2009 12:02 pm

Oh no! Wild Willy Barrett, who was booked for Saturday night at the Bash, has cancelled as he has to do a Spanish TV special that weekend. :x

Which means we need a band for Saturday night, with their own PA. We have a budget for this, so applications will be entertained from professional outfits. Band must be available on night of Saturday 20 June to pay 2 x 45 minute sets, 8.30pm and 10.00pm. Covers band or electric folk band preferred.

Any volunteers or suggestions?

'Celtic Pride' are fantastic.

Their influences are ACDC, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Kiss, Whitesnake, Iron Maden, Saxon, Budgie, Rainbow, Megadeth, Motorhead, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Golden Earring, Scorpions...and many more!

Obviously, they are a rock band - I'm not sure if they would be to everyones taste - but they really are great if rock is your thing!

They are from South Wales - I'm not sure if they would travel up to Stourport but I do have contact details if you're interested.....

I'm nothing to do with this band - we've just seen them a few times and have loved them every time! REAL musicians!

Very kind Kirsty, but we couldn't provide the level/quality/material required. Trust me! There's bound to be some outfit reasonably local I'd have thought. What happened to last years outfit as they were pretty good?

Hi Ian,

Not sure if this will help, but its in the right direction.
As you know i posted a thing for the Hole in the Wall concert 18th July, if you contact Chris Woodward on.

www.holeinthewallconcert.co.uk

There is a band that cater for all called Treacle, i watched them last year and they are good, they are back by popular demand this year.

Chris books and knows lots of bands, i,am sure, and he would help out if he can. also i have just searched the web ond they are part of LMM, live music management, who have lots of bands advertised.

www.lmmuk.com

hope this helps

Angel of Sin... If this is the band http://www.northwestbands.co.uk/profile/?id=62 then target audience probably aging punks and heavy metal fans (you watch the OAP's hanging out of the adjoining nursing home windows  ). IMHO probably ok (yes, I know you're not asking) for one night as long as Exclusion are not the same or similar.

So who are Exclusion? Any links anyone?
