Friday Night: Angel of Sin
Saturday Night: Exclusion
 Rock on, this will do for me lovely jubbely \:D/
2 things I'm not sure about :?:
1. The inclusion of "come on feel the noize" in Angel of Sin set
2. Will Exclusion front man Jamie have his POGO mike
Ah, THAT Exclusion!!!! Sorry Jamie, I should have known

I suggest then that my worst fears have come true. I truthfully will probably be looking for other entertainment on at least one of the evenings (must go and visit relatives in the area). The evenings last year were one of the highlights, and now this year looks like it will be the opposite for most people (you can't get away from the music easily in a field). Only my opinion at this early stage, but 2 nights of heavy metal for the average Bongo owner will just be one night too many for most (discuss) and the edge has been taken off of my eagerness to attend this years bash.

Is anyone bringing an alternative marquee at the other end of the field :?: :)

I don't really think it matters what they play (as long as it's not C&W  ) - I've enjoyed listening to bands that I thought were rubbish, because it's totally different at a live performance.
If not, the marquee at the other end of the site is called Wetherspoons in Stourport

I'm sure that Jon & Jamie will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think either can be described as "heavy metal". Angel of Sin are a rock covers band, and Exclusion are a rock-mayhem band 8) . It would have been nice to have different types of music on each evening, but once Wild Willy pulled out of the booking, we had to move very quickly and Exclusion were available. 4 months notice is not that much in the music world!

As with last yer, the PA will be facing up-river, and it is a condition of booking the site that no music can be heard in the middle of the field, and all music will be finished by 11pm.

Setting up an alternative marquee is not such a silly idea; if someone wants to bring one along we can put it down by the river at near the jetty.

Next year I'm thinking of booking Waylon Jennings and the Dixie Chicks for Friday, and a chamber orchestra for Saturdy...... :^o

I can bring the Northwest Marquee

3 metres x 6 metres

Happy to bring it down Friday and take it back Sunday providing peeps can give a hand with my erection.

It could be used as a quiet (?????) social area for those who want a social drink & chat away from the band noise.

At past northwest meets we've extended it with gazebos and Chell&Ady's pink palace.

Also provides a good central focus for social BBQs etc.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry Kangaroo - I don't get it. Whats the problem? The Bongo or the culture? Do you mean $500 or £500? Either sounds v. cheap unless its badly bust.

Good luck anyway 8)
