Booking Arrangements

Post by Ian » Sat Jan 31, 2009 10:48 am

Bookings will commence at 9.30am on Thursday 19 March. Booking is by telephone only. As usual, the phone lines will be jammed until about lunch time, so you will have use ring back or try again later. There will be 56 full electric pitches available, (£12 per night) a further 16 with split hook ups (£10), and 190 non-electric places (£8.50). If booking a full electric hook up you must book for a minimum of 3 nights.

Phone calls must be made to 0114-2550836 (not our old number). There will be no messaging service available on the day.

At the time of booking you must quote your club membership number and vehicle registration. Remember, being registered with the forum does not necessarily mean you are a paid up club member. Your membership number can be found on your membership card.

This year you will be restricted to 1 booking per phone call, ie no block booking for others.

More details to follow.

Good point. This rule only applies to electric hook ups.

By the way, other rules may be introduced to stop lapsed members rejoining the club just so they can make a booking. All will become clear within next couple of weeks.

From an access point of view it may be worth considering having an alternative to the phone. There are many phone phobic people out there and also many people that can not use the phone for a host of other reasons. It is worth thinking about.

I don't see a problem with phone booking, I don't particularly like using the phone, but Ian isn't that scary

Genuine point, someone may have hearing/speach challenges, but most people could ask a friend to call.

The crowd on here would help out if that were the case.
