Wicksteed Park Kettering

Post by meplus5c » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:33 pm

We haven't been camping in our Bongo yet but we went tent camping at Wicksteed Park the past two years. The site is all non-electric and grass. There's a shower and toilet block which we found to be clean with ample hot water.

Some of it is on a hill but there are flat areas. There's a small theme park and fishing lake. But the pathway to the lake was overgrown and almost impassable when we went last. My aunt, the fisherman of the family, was disappointed but said from what she could see the lake was quite overgrown at the edges and and she didn't have any waders.

Overall we had a nice time both years.

It cost £25 a night last time we went, the park is around £16 for a wristband. We're planning on going again this year around August.
