Campsites in mid Wales

Post by Boggle » Sun May 27, 2012 8:57 am

Just had a couple of amazing days in the lakes in our Bongo{ first trip out}and are looking for a recommendation for sites in mid Wales/snowdonia for our next trip.
We like the more simple laid back sites that allow dogs and campfires etc and don't really need EHU,laundry and all that fancy stuff, but a nearby pub would be nice :D
Cheers guys

Flick through these pics http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 37&t=43304 to the Cae Du campsite (if you do a Goggle-search it's not the Cae Du site near Beddgelert) between Barmouth and Tywyn - they positively encourage fires

I can second the vote for Fforest Fields, just got back from a lovely weekend there. They have a brand new shiny facilities block just opened on 1st June too.
Living for the weekends...
