had a thought for next year.......

but don't know if it would be possible or feasible....

but if someone was to set up a webcam at one end of the field, say down near the marquee, on a pole, and set it up early... say wednesday

and it pointed down the field, if it did a capture every hour or two.....

anyone not at the bash, or even those going later or for the day could check the site, what was going on etc.....

just a thought.....

I think I might have just the equipment for this (and server stuff), we'd just need a reliable power source

I'm sure you'd be able to rig up something off a hookup or from the toilet block area if you were to put it up that way? Or if you wanted it in the nonhookup field would it be able to run off LB's in rotation which then get charged from the hook up side? How much power would it need?

Sounds like a plan that Kirsty. All I can see we need to power for each point is a weatherproof IP camera and an internet enabled (via usb dongle probably) router. I've got 2 cameras that have infra red for nite time too which should be ok. No problem with server stuff either as that's located somewhere else. So not much power needed at all really just needs to be constant, sure between us with your electrical know how we could sort something out

Mike, I didn't think that was hot air, but geek speak, maybe I need to get out more

Just need to sort out a decent mast then I guess that means you'll have to get there early & be the last to leave - bummer
