Home safe & absolutely knacked.

I had some reservations about attending such a big do but had a great time.

Sorry to those in the NW convoy who I left behind around Stoke....my optimum cruising speed when trying to get home is 80mph, not 65..but having said that I did enjoy being in the convoy for half the trip home at least.

The old bus has put another 500km on in two days having reached 225,000 on Saturday morning. Roll on the quarter million party!

Thanks to Rooster & DBO (and of course Haydn) for sorting out the low coolant alarm..its nice to be able to drive without continuously scanning the temp guage knowing full well that if the temp does go up whilst belting up the motorway it is probably too late to stop before the engine cooks.

I'm home and tired but what a great few days - great to meet so many people - will really look forward to next year and to any other meets that I can get to between now and then.

A big thank you to Ian and everybody else for organising a really good BASH. =D> =D> =D> =D>

Home, shattered, had a ball. Was great to go cycling and fishing with my son. And the face on one of my sons new found friends as he caught his first fish was pricless. Was my first bash and definatley not the last. See you all next year

Back safely and boys tucked up in bed. We had a lovely cruise back through a very windy Shropshire, stopping at a roadside pub at Wenlock Edge that - amazingly - had a bit of garden fully sheltered from the wind. Old Mango Bongo as usual pulling us and all our gear and the trailer along like a train. What a car the Bongo is.

And what an event the Bash is. We had a fantastic time, great to meet faces from the forum, only sorry I didn't get round a shedload more, but we'll be back. I have to give a really big thanks to Ian and Marianne, Kit, AlanT54 and all others whose tireless efforts made it such a memorable event. Even the dodgy weather obliged us by holding off for the important bits on Saturday and Sunday. =D> =D> =D>
