Paul Furze - Bongo mechanic - update

Post by Don&Shirley Gungadon » Tue Mar 06, 2012 5:32 pm

We believe this is good news. We had used Paul Furze for general maintenance of our bongo for a number of years and we were disappointed to learn that he had gone out of business. He traded as Furze Motors - Mainly Mazda from a location in Southampton. He has written to us saying that he is up and running again and offering a mobile service for Mazda vehicles. His no is 078702 97015 and he is trading under the name of MAZMECH. Paul knows what he is doing and we feel much relieved that he has restarted his business and we wish him well.

That is good news. A good mobile mechanic in this area will be very useful. He is a very nice guy and it was sad that he lost his business.

Went past there last week and his sign was still up but with a for sale sign over it. Someone decided to stop renting out his place?

Good news indeed!

I'd started to wonder who to entrust Bluebell to when the time comes.....

These guys advertise on the Bongo Fury front page too: http://www.mastertechautos.com/car-service.php (based in Eastleigh)

Anyone used the guys in Eastleigh?
Need to find a local garage that know what they are doing to Bongos.....I'm in Bournemouth.
May give Paul or M J autos a ring.

Looking for such a mechanic (or Bongo savvy garage) in Mid Sussex. I wonder if Paul goes that far West?

Further update ....

Paul's mobile number now pops up associated with this outfit:

"We are renowned as Mazda specialists, even dealing with import vehicles such as the Mazda Bongo ."

I might see if he fancies sorting our busted cambelt tensioner ...

Cheers

I've *sort of* used Mastertech in Eastleigh.

My girl needed a new set of plugs, leads and a distro cap to try and sort out lumpy idle on LPG (already converted when bought)

Mastertech seem to be the guys that Kevin @ Southern Bongo's uses as his garage for his vans - and I say I *sort of* used them because he covered the above items on the warranty for the van.

Dropped it down, there was another one parked out side without plates (presume import being prepared) an hour and half ish later they rang and said she was ready. They also checked coolant levels for me and seemed friendly enough - can't really comment much more than that but seeing as they are quite close to my parents I may consider taking her to be serviced....Will have to wait and see cost wise what they look like.
