Storage boxes

Best tip of the year from 'vanvliet ' - trust me. Forget all of the flimsy or ridiculously expensive storage boxes you have previously come across and instead buy these fantastic indestructible boxes made by a British company called 'Wham Bam'. You can stand on these blighters and they will not break!
They come in all shapes and sizes and the best price I have come across is on Free 'click and collect' from the ASDA stores website ( see link below) .They are made from super thick recycled textured plastic in a nice neutral grey colour . I went for the stackable 36 litre 'under bed' type boxes at only £9 each. :D :D

We use the 'really useful boxes' again available from Asda, I think they were cheapest from there when we were looking.

We use two under the bench seat at the rear.

We then have 4 big boxes which stack under the table when we are going away, then in the day on site they make the bases of two bench seats round the table in the awning. The bed panels then sit on top to make them comfortable. Then at night they go back in the bongo to make the mid section of the bed.

Best upgrade we have done so far. It got rid of the unstable bed frame that came with the conversion, it gave us searing in the awning and a good stable bed at night plus lots of storage space.

Came across coloured versions too (blue/red/green) . . . but they seem to be much more expensive. Asda must be going for a' one colour suits all' bulk-buy arrangement with Wham Bam.
Couldn't resist buying a couple of the 62 litre boxes.
My wife suspects that I must be working on a post-Brexit survivalist plan to store foodstuffs ..... come to think of it,might be a good idea . . . then again, nah ! :)

If only! We would obviously grant you dual nationality Mike :)

Excellent- we Irish sit on a fence between Scotland and England and often fall off it on the Scottish side ha ha.

I desperately searched for a close Irish connection but it seems that my great Gran was the last to leave Ireland for Scotland and so I could not claim dual nationality. Retirement in Ireland was very appealing!

Thanks for this tip vanvlient.

I like the fact that they are tough and from recycled material.
I clicked and collected one of the £9 - 36l boxes yesterday, as a sample / tester. Looks good in the flesh and nicely interior-matching in grey too.
Must admit like some others I have been using the 'really useful' range as they come in sizes that fit nicely under the seats.
Will need to have a closer look at this alternative range to see if it has similar suitable sizes / dimensions. Thanks for posting the range size details to save us all looking them up.

I had a couple of the really useful boxes and they are good ( especially the closing clip system) however the plastic is still fairly brittle and the lids ended up breaking at the edges - hence my search for something better.
As a final postscript - 'Home Bargains Stores' have the 'Wham Bam' underbed boxes in stock in a neat shade of Royal Blue @£9 which match the colour of my (non Bongo) van nicely! I couldn't resist buying a few :D
