One Burner Cooking
Treated ourselves to the Ridge Monkey toaster.
Well impressed and if you check out the You Tube videos you'll see you can cook pretty much anything in one.
Designed for anglers but perfect for Bongoing.

They do some neat water containers, too.

Re: One Burner Cooking
I have two. Used one for oven chips the other day ... cooked to perfection. The other for fresh tuna steaks to put onto bread rolls with some chilli relish. Added a bit of rocket and a dollop of coleslaw. Delish.
Re: One Burner Cooking
Had DIY pizza for lunch today.
Pitta bread for base, spread on pizza sauce, grated cheese, then topping to taste, pretty much anything you fancy.
5 Mins on a low heat, delicious.
Someone has pointed out this could be a simple way to introduce yougsters to cooking, easy to do and they like the results.

impressed with the video & just ordered one, Hope I get it before the Cropredy festival
Re: One Burner Cooking
Ha, like the chap above, watched the video, just ordered one for myself and one for my in-laws.
Fantastic looking things, my wife loves a toasted sarnie too. I liked the pitta pizza's idea too, right up my street when camping!

Re: One Burner Cooking
Just ordered one of these. Dreaming about bacon sarnies and toasted sandwiches on our first trip. Will be yummy carb overload. Ummm now what else could I cook in it
Re: One Burner Cooking
I made a toasted sarnie, at home unfortunately, best ones i've made!
Unfortunately the corner of the ridge monkey was bubbled under th non-stick material, so i need to return it as when that stuff peels off, it becomes useless!

Re: One Burner Cooking
Mine arrived this morning - speedy delivery. Just made first toasties on it and yum. Went with the classic cheese and marmite. We have an induction stove so I did them in the garden. Neighbours are going to think we are nuts!
Re: One Burner Cooking
Hi,
it arrived too late for Cropredy, but had a test run in the house and has been used "in the field" up at Slingsby in N Yorks. Fabulous bit of kit, no hesitatation in recommending if you like toasties. I use it on a single burner optimus (paraffin) stove. Have also cooked sausages & egg in it.
Well pleased

Re: One Burner Cooking
I also watched the video, was impressed, and ordered the XL
Ordered Monday night from Amazon, delivered Wednesday morning....great service. Not sure if the XLwas the right choice as,although I like a full english,or steak n chips, itys a bit big for a cheese ham n onion toasty.....will have to experiment
