Fiamma F45S (2.6m) attaching to Bongo

Post by tuttiweb » Tue Sep 07, 2021 1:12 pm

Hi all,

I’m about to collect a MY2000 Ford Freda, which has an after-market non-powered pop-top conversion.

Does anyone know for sure if a Fiamma F45S awning will fit using the advised VW T3 brackets please?

I appreciate you may need images to say for certain, but it would be good to know if anyone’s already had success or failure, so I know what to expect.

You need the rain gutter to mount the brackets on, but some after market roofs get in the way it appears as you need some space behind the gutter. Mounting to the gutter works OK, there will be some twisting, but it doesn't seem to have any detrimental affect, the rear mounting has to be carefully positioned to keep clear of the side window but not to far round the rear curve!

That’s great to know.

I’ll check how much clearance we have after collecting.

Thanks.
