Rock and Roll bed supplier recommendation

Post by Blazerbob » Tue Apr 27, 2021 8:03 pm

Howdy Bongistas!

I'm looking to buy a new M1 crash tested rock and roll bed, upholstered. Can anyone recommend a good supplier? I Have checked out JDS metal, rocknrollbed.com. Anyone have experience of these suppliers?

Any intel much appreciated!

Cheers,

Mine is from JDS as they were reasonably local. Bought it about 3 years ago seems well made and no issues with sleeping on it. Only minor issue is that ideally it could with being mounted another 6 inches further back so that there is no gap between the head end and boot door but I don’t think it’s possible because of shape and foam thickness. I think some other designs get around this by not being as tall with an extra horizontal section at the rear. The frame itself made fitting a drawer under it easy. It’s light enough that I could transfer it from old bongo into new one by myself

thanks for the info, nice little conversion you got there! Does the JDS bed cantilever out, or are there feet that slide forward over the floor?

Two locking pins under a flap at front, sliding section is on wheels, remove seatbelt tension and gently slide forwards. Putting it back to a seat is a little harder but it has a good handle that you need to pull up whilst pushing frame backwards until pins lock back in
