Rear Slide Out Kitchen Pod

Post by cotswoldbongo » Tue Oct 20, 2020 1:50 pm

I'll soon be picking up my first Bongo which i've been on the hunt for all year! Finally found one through Ian at Ian Taylor UK who has been very helpful so far and couldn't recommend him enough.

I've been looking at conversion options from various companies and would like to go with the rear 'outback' which suits me by being able to cook both inside and out (weather dependent!)

One conversion which really caught up eye is the see attached images, with the rear outback style, but with the added bonus of being able to swing out so can fully cook outside leaving the seating area also accessible!

I think this looks incredible and the most versatile conversion i've seen to date and wondered if anyone would know a company/individual that could help me with this? :D (Have already contacted New Dawn & NorthStar).

I seem to remember Hotpot, up in Clitheroe had one like this but it was a custom job by local metal fabricators as I recall.

Northern Bongolow (Ady) did a DIY one so may also have some thoughts / advice. Agree its a great design idea that could be pushed further. I was interested in the idea when i got mine 14 yrs ago but lacked funds to do it.

We still have that pull out pod. We bought it from Chell and Ady (but we're not planning on selling it). :)
