Fixed smart charger for leisure battery

Post by pixies » Mon May 28, 2018 1:27 am

Hi,

Our electrical hookup simply supplies a double socket (with RCD). I was thinking of connecting it to a smart charger, permanently fixed somewhere, to keep the LB charged up when we are on a powered site.

Any experience out there - or any suggestions?

Cheers

A very common approach used in most systems, however "smart" chargers aren't always the best device (or cheapest) device to use as they are only smart enough to handle a battery not other loads on the system like lights and water pumps etc. Something like these are a better option https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_osac ... r&_sacat=0
