Hi all
i have a small problem
I've turned my inner roof round but now i can't see the sunroof and it makes putting the roof down a real pain
so i would like to keep my inner turned round a do the cat flap thig as well
does any one know what size aluminium u section i would need and were to get it ether local to Poole Dorset or online ?

Not exactly clear on what you mean Bob, can you elaborate or better still pixs?

note the new positions of the struts in order to get maximum height

don't forget to include the width of the U tubes when cutting the roof in half for any easy fit, mine is a tad on the tight side.

B AND Q do a selection of ally channels/ sections, ive done a few using this,

I’m sorry I did that last post in a bit of a rush from my phone
I’m just trying to get the Aluminium U section to carry out the Cat Flap Mod
I think I need something with a 30mm internal dimension
I just thought if anyone had done it they could let me know what size they used and it would save me the problem of ordering the wrong stuff and if there is some were I could get it on line all the better
I had a look in the local B&Q but they didn’t have anything

Mine is a sort of black rubber stuff. Not a clue what size. I aquired it as a freebee from someone who had bought A bongo with it fitted and retro fitted a standard roof, I saved it from being taken to the tip. The thickness of the roof should be measurable from the standard roof flap.

Does anyone know how much you need to move the gas struts?
Do they need to move on both contact points or just on the roof it’s self??

Its the anchor points on the van itself, not sure how much however. There are some photo's around somewhere.
