There are several ways of achieving dual battery charging if you really need it, most SB when they have the swap looms fitted to move the unswitched supplies to the LB will then last for many weeks.
If you really want to charge both batteries then there are solar power controllers built for the purpose which is probably the best bet. See here as a typical example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-120W-12V- ... SwgQ9V4Zl5

That's really helpful. Thanks. I hadn't spotted such things as dual controllers and probably not twigged what it meant anyway. Will read and take guidance from the forum and hope to get a reasonable quality system that doesn't break the bank. But I'll also think whether we really need it or if I'm being too fussy
