Hi, did you make the seat covers yourself? My son is trying to persuade me to have a go at making some seat covers..

Yep Betty Bongo curved conversion units. There is even a little wardrobe behind the long thin door. Also a table that isn't in pics as I don't use it. Caz

Re: Show us yer insides
Hi Betty Bongo,
It was all converted when I bought it along with the respray. My heart ruled my head when I saw it....first the colour then when I saw the insides too I was sold. I had a basic gull wing Bongo before with a removable kitchen unit which was far more practical for me but I do love Minty Bongo too. I think we can all feel a little envious of what others have but the grass isn't always greener. As I said my basic Bongo was far more practical for me than Minty is.
We either have to use the roof for sleeping which isn't great for two adults who are not slim and who are over 60 or use the bench seat along with the driver and passenger seat. I tried this in March and I was comfortable but how my friend will cope with it I am yet to find out. lol. I now have a drive away awning too which gives us another option. Happy Bongoing. x
PS I just found yours Betty Bongo and I am envious of your overhead cupboards.LOL Looks great inside and I like your table arrangement. My table has a pole that screws into the floor and the small square table goes on top of the pole but the position on the floor for the pole is too close to the bench seat in my opinion and isn't practical to use.

Re: Show us yer insides
Hey Cazzy,
I really liked the conversion that was on mine, it was the same as yours, but it wasn't suitable for my family (buggy, proper seat belts etc) so had to remove it. I have converted it back to gullwing and made a kind of midconversion that suits our needs a bit more (the bits mentioned earlier, plus needing a comfortable bed!)
But i really liked the conversion you have for looks as it suits the van really nicely.
So many lovely vans around.

Hi Callum yes this conversion is much admired but for space and versatility you can't beat the basic Bongo although I like the look of the Outback by Northstar too. Happy Bongoing

Re: Show us yer insides
My Bongo mid-conversion is now complete so I thought I'd share some pictures. The bed extension is easily removable, so it can be stowed in the boot or garage to use the bongo as a day van.
An added and unexpected bonus, as I kept the split seat I can also use the bed unit sideways on for a quick snooze!

Jo Anne,I like that conversion.
As a single camper,I particularly like the capability for a single bed with a bit of room round then sides.
Where did you get it done please, and can you gice a rough idea of the cost

Thanks. It was done by SPD Campers in Swansea and cost around £2500.Bongoplod wrote:Jo Anne,I like that conversion.

Hi, that's really lovely and I like the fact that the seat can be stored in the boot if needed. I have a little unit similar to yours so this is something I could do to allow better sleeping.
Do you have any other photos of the extra seating. Is it also a storage unit?
Thanks xx

Re: Show us yer insides
The box isn't really a storage unit as its designed to be light. I'll try to take some pictures to show it better. I've got 2 lidded plastic boxes that would fit underneath it but haven't used them for this yet.8etty 8ongo wrote:Hi, that's really lovely and I like the fact that the seat can be stored in the boot if needed.
