lift the bonnet, you will see a hole under each one, gently pull the pipes off, get the correct sized deep socket that will push in the 2 small side clips that hold it to the bonnet, dont go tight on the size of socket or you get it stuck. you could leave the pipes on and split them further back then slide the socket up the pipe.

Good idea that Ady, I use long nose pliers to push the clips in but proper pain in the but.

its like a battle ship grey

the weather and parking in my road has made for slow progress

some days i cannot evan park in my own street let alone near my house

ive got about 5 coats on the wings,bonnet and front bumper so far

will try and take some next time im able to work on it

Try an do your final coat indoors. I did all my prep outside and used my mates workshop for the final coat which took about an hour to do. The roller finish IMO is good and I have not bothered rubbing down and polishing.

Try and treat any rust thoroughly as I how have a few bubbles on the arches so will have to treat them properly before I apply any white paint.
