Carbon Wrap

Post by stuc » Thu Jan 08, 2015 11:29 pm

Just sending a big thanks to the.sasquatch for the vinyl wrap for my bonnet. I eventually got around to doing it and the bonnet was a bit tricky but you learn from mistakes and would be better a second time. Saying that it has come out good. I promised to post some pics so here goes. Trouble is once I started I couldn't stop, I wrapped the bonnet and wing corners, then the front grill chrome surround, then the rear chrome surround then the petrol flap and finally the front fogs and cut round holes in it for the light. I had to be dragged off it to stop

De chrome of the grill is an amazing change, that has some serious effect on the look.
Somehow taken years off it?

Looks great.

 Jim, funny you should say that, my work colleague, who says he liked my black one much better, said exactly the same. I like this one better now.

Liked your all white van stu, but it may look better with the carbon wrap when I see it in the flesh.
Fancied doing my front bumper with a wrap but if you had problems with a nice shaped bonnet then I think I will just spray it.

Hi Stuc
I liked it all white, but the grille is rather nice...I'm not against carbon, by the way , as I've "done" the rear tailgate in anthracite, but I just liked white....
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

Yes Gasy, that's what I thought too, will do it over the weekend hopefully.
Jim spraying would involve a lot more prep but would get a nice finish. I wouldn't like to attempt to wrap a full bumper.........yet!
