I have not fitted it yet as I am painting to roof so need to wait until the oil based paint hardens.
I will post a pic next month.

Front end has had it's 4 coats! Just need to wait a few weeks until it is rubbed down with 1500, 2000 and 2,500 and then polished.

The rest of the van is taking time as painting outside is not easy (bugs, wind/dirt etc) so I need to find a garage to do the final coats.

VW bib spoiler fitted (middle section) the outer parts need to be cut and bonded to the bumper with tiger seal (PU adhesive).

I also need to make the underside cooling vents larger as the bib spoiler blocks them.

I hope to have it all finished by the end of May :-)

No, you need a rubber tube on the edge to form a seal.

As it is so difficult to roller paint around/behind the side windows, I have decided to rattle can some red which will follow the lines of the van, from the line below the mirror, to the small curve at the top of the front wing, up and along the gutter and down the line on the rear side window back to the line that runs along to the front mirror. The bonnet will also have some red again following the lines in the panel, plus the mirrors will also be painted red. There are some nice lines on the van to follow so hopefully it will look good.

Below is a guide of what it could look like...

small update...

Fitted BMW electric window switch to the n/s and need to work on the o/s now.
Image
VW splitter has been fitted and secure in place with ss screws and ss bolts. The front now looks good with the red pin stripe.
Image
I'm on the final rub down before the final coat of rustoleum :-) trying to get rid of the orange peal takes time!
Image
Rattle canned the mirror red and the rest will be done once the final coat of rustoleum is done.

Final coat of rustoleum paint to be applied with a roller tomorrow :D using my mates garage so less chance of bugs and dust :D :D
I am also converting the other rear side window to house a 19 inch TV that will flip out, so it can be watched from my reversed middle seats

Should all be ready for a bank holiday trip to Devon later this month :D :D :D :D :D :D
