Wheels of Change
Now I bet (know) this has been done to death on here and by looking at Bongos I can see they have all manner of alloys fitted from 15" OEM to 18" RX8 and I'm assuming larger?
With Toyota, Mazda, and Nissan wheels gracing a few.
Anyway, I can see by PCD and Offset and Bore lots are available.
Has anyone bought or tried some strange wheels that fit by having the offset or bore altered?
And the big question how much does it cost to have that machine work done.
I'm also wondering what the tyre sizes are for optimum for the 17-18" seeing as Bongo isn't a sports car.
Thanks

Re: Wheels of Change
mine has the 18" RX8 wheels and an RX8 spare. Does it make it handle better? yes, it does make a difference, even at Bongo speeds.

Re: Wheels of Change
I have extra strength 245/45-R18 100W, I think these are quite a common tyre and are found on range rovers etc. perfectly ok.

Likewise, I also run 245 45 18r with a 96 loading. and have done for over 8 years. It's a much better ride.

Any particular make you've found that are decent - are the budget ones a waste of time or acceptable on the Bongo?

Audi RS8, 18" alloys machined to bongo wheel specs... Machine work price "thrown in" with new wheel and tyre combo package deal via a local well known on here wheel and tyre specialist.Spencer54 wrote:Now I bet (know) this has been done to death on here and by looking at Bongos I can see they have all manner of alloys fitted from 15" OEM to 18" RX8 and I'm assuming larger?

I was fairly confident the Audi wheels would suit the bongo as i think they are very RX8 "ish"...

Wow didn't know Audi wheels went on they are 5x112 - so that's news.
I've got a set of RX8 wheels being delivered this week hopefully.
Found a set by asking on the RX8 owners forum.
Can't sniff at 4x18's for £100.
