18" RX8 wheel's too big or ok?
Can anyone comment on fitting wheels from an RX8 on to a Bongo? I read around a bit and it seems like they do fit. Most of the ones I'm seeing around are 18" though which is maybe a bit large, thoughts?
Has anyone else done it? How did you get on?

They go straight on and look lovely makes the ride a bit rougher but thats more than compensated by the looks

You will need low profile tyres, so the ride will be hard. You will also find that 18" tyres are expensive and it can be difficult to find a high enough load rating 18" wheels are usually fitted to sporty cars, as opposed to a brick on wheels.

Mine is on 225/45 and I think the ride quality is actually much better than on the originals, tyre quality rather than size has more effect unless you run really low profile. XL on the tyre wall means the tyre walls ae reinforced so a 225/45/R18 96XL would feel better than a tyre not marked XL as this would have more give in the sidewalls.

me too. Tyres are not all that troublesome because they are a popular SUV fit and have high load ratings. I also mod'd the spare wheel carrier to take an RX-8 18" wheel! I'm about to get mine re-powder-coated!

Run mine on 235/50/18 makes a big difference on comfort compared to my old 225/45/18

Thanks for the info guys. Bit of an overheating issue going on so the wheels are just gonna have to wait until I've figured out what to do about that. Cheers.

Always seems strange to me when people say they was expecting 18" to 'fill' in the wheel arches more
With the correct profile tyres .. 18" wheels and tyres should be near enough the the same size as the rolling radius of the 15" ..

I have 18" wheels on mine, and with the extra width they are pretty close to the body kit when turning the front wheels, however they do miss
