The unit is quite small and from memory the PCB is about 6cm by 2cm. Not 100% where I've put it otherwise I'd measure it for you.

So I bought the LED strip and installed it... it looks fantastic :)

However, some questions:

What did you stick yours up with?!
The tape on the back didn't seem to hold it. In the end I had to use cable ties through the holes that hold the tent to the metal strips and a lot of superglue!

I did purchase the "DC-DC 4A 4.5-32V to 5-42V 12V 24V Step Up BOOST Converter Power Regulator" but this doesn't seem to do anything after I soldered it in place.
If it has 12.5V in, I get 12.5V out..
If it has 13V in, I get 13V out...etc

(currently I am only allowing the kids to use the LEDs when engine is not on, to prolong the life)

I have ordered one of these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008A6GCXK
"High Quality 12V 5A Car / Caravan cigarette lighter socket DC Adapter For LCD Monitors and LCD TVs."
I plan to cut the cables off and just use the box to regulate the 12V output.

Any other suggestions?

Looks fantastic ! I just stick 5 or 6 multi coloured LED tea lights along the top so I can identify it at festivals. they are dead cheap of the bay.

I had the same problem with the original tape on the back of the LED strip but new double sided number plate tape seems to have done the job.

Any current pictures of this and how are the LEDs holding up?

Ours is still going strong. You do need a proper off switch as the led will glow very dimly if turned off with the remote (well, that's what we found) which may explain why some have failed after a while.
