Hi

I'm thinking about putting in a tv/dvd player in the van, what do other peeps have and
how much hassle are they to fit?

cheers

We have a digital dongle for the laptop, and fix an aerial to the bull bar. This gives us freeview tv and a DVD player. This is not a pimp, as we take it out when not in use. But it is a very cheap way to get tv and DVD player.

I don't like the titchy screens of built in ones, so I just use a 19" TV/DVD from Aldi/Sainsburys etc (similar to this http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/logik-l19d ... 1-pdt.html ) - obviously it's not built in

Only if you get a good digital signal everywhere you go, so probably very unlikely.

Hi just bought this head unit and in process of looking for screen for rear, 9" or so. I dont want to damage the headlining fitting the screen but i do want it high up as i plan to reverse the seats. I will post some pics when i have it fitted. When i come up with a plan that is, any ideas or photos for inspiration.

here's some notes of my ebay special double din unit: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 44&t=38039

since I installed that, I got a freeview unit from ebay with magmount antenna and it is plugged into the tv above. it can also play movies from usb sticks (we have every mountain bike movie on board!) and also has a feature to record shows onto USB sticks if you are *out* - which is a quite an odd feature for a car based freeview tuner.
