Key Facts:

1. Most people find that a Compressor fridge will run for several days on a leisure battery. They cool food down as cold (or colder) than a domestic fridge. Many can make ice cubes and some can keep small amounts of frozen food. They are however expensive to buy.

2. Electric coolboxes (peltier effect) are much cheaper to buy but will flatten a leisure battery in just a few hours. They will not cool the contents down as much as a compressor fridge on a hot day.

3. Three way/Gas fridges are difficult to install properly in a Bongo due to the venting requirements for the gas. When running on electricity these absorption fridges will drain your leisure battery much more quickly than the more efficient compressor type.
