Congrats to all. Hope that Dandywarhol and Muzorewa are amongst the roll of honour, Harry also. There are others as well who come to mind (at the risk of their blushes):
  • Simon Jones has always provided very sound and sober technical input. When he talks, I listen
  • Doone, likewise
  • Mikexgough, likewise
  • Mister Munkey was a tireless enthusiast for a long time while he was around, much missed
  • Bob has always been here providing humour
  • Alacrity gave invaluable advice on gearboxes while he was here
  • Scanner has always provided good sense laced with a little dry ice
  • Widdowson did sterling work on understanding the cooling system
  • Colin (Moonshine) discovered that you could fix starter motors for pennies (then had his Bongo stolen - very sad)
  • DaveBlueOzzie and Dabs have remained loyal stalwarts
  • Ron Miel researched VIN numbers and production history
  • Mobilecat for being her irrepressible self
  • Francophile, Aitch, Wayne ditto
  • Torchwood, the first to push a Bongo through the 40mpg barrier
  • Corblimey, saved our lost forum posts, and showed idiots like me how they could put in a leisure battery charging system for pence
...and there are others I've probably overlooked (sincere apologies). If they are not on the Roll of Honour, perhaps we can anyway all stand a moment and thank them. For at the setting of the sun etc.

And to the list I should like to add:
  • Jaylee - consistently intelligent input on matters technical, innovation, and just generally
  • Rushmon - for the best DIY conversion I ever saw
  • Dreamwarrior - for getting one done before Rushmon did and to a standard that was also superb (where are you Mike?)
  • Peg Leg Pete, and especially Mrs P-L-P, for the superb job they did putting on entertainment for kids at Bongo meets. You had to be there to appreciate the effort they went to. Way beyond the call of duty - never been matched AFAIK
I'm sure I'll be back with more

Don't worry aitch, I don't understand me either ha ha. Well you've always been one the great enthusiasts on here, plus I seemed to bump into you volunteering at the Bash, so I thought....:-)

Maybe I should start a Hall of Fame thread ha ha.

I knew I'd forget someone really important. Hats off to The Great Pretender (Mel) one of the top technical gurus this forum is blessed with, and a great iconoclastic myth buster.

Also, hembracho, notable for being the only Bongo owner I know of to have fitted LPG injection to a diesel Bongo to improve fuel consumption and power output. I'd have loved to try that on mine.
