Consumer Issues

Post by Ian » Sat Feb 26, 2011 11:22 am

The Bongo Forum is a free service provided by the Bongo Fury owners club. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to deal with consumer issues, but have published this guidance to help out the Bongo community at large.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received from a company, then you should take the following action.

1) Contact the company concerned and explain your grievance. A telephone conversation is the easiest way, but if this fails to resolve the issue, either email or write a letter. Keep a record of all communications (date, time etc)
2) If the issue remains unresolved, then you should send a more formal letter of complaint. This letter should give a (reasonable) date by which you expect the issue to be resolved. Send this letter by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery service (a signature is required). Template letters can be found at

http://www.consumerhelp.ie/complaint-template-letter

3) It is unlikely that things get as far as this, but if the issue remains unresolved, then you should contact Trading Standards. You can find your nearest office here:

https://www.gov.uk/find-local-trading-standards-office

4) At this stage, if you are a paid-up member of the Bongo Fury club, you can also copy the club in to any correspondence so we can place the complaint on file, although we would not be able to represent you in any way.
