Stoke Newington, N London - full of Bongos!

Post by AndyS95 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 2:49 pm

Found myself in Stoke Newington on Friday (by that I mean i was there geographically, rather than a voyage of self discovery!) Anyway, as I was driving down the side roads I was astonished by the volume of Bongos, loads being driven as well.. Any members here live in the SN region?

Not me. But it's surprising how many you do see around. I wonder just how many have been imported over the years.

Interesting. Are they campervans do you think, or (for example) tintops being used as minibuses?

Holy cr*p Ben. Women are from Venus, Bongos (not men, it seems) are from Stoke Newington

Had a girlfriend from there (SN not Mars!) once. Happy memories :-)

Mostly AFT's, can confirm a good few were definitely conversions - couldn't tell with some, as they were being driven and it was dark..

Interesting. Given the congestion / clean air tax thing, i can only think people are dying to get away from London!

When the new ULEZ gets extended in 2021 (I think) to the North & South Circular - we're going to be about 500 yds inside it.. :(

Yes correct. click map to see a closer view.. I will presume that includes driving on the North/South arterial road itself.
