Central and North Europe info

Post by Hercules » Wed Jan 10, 2018 9:55 am

Hi folks
We spent 3 months travelling through from France overland to Scandinavia via Poland and the Baltic’s. All excellent. If you are heading in that direction, we have up to date info on sites and costs if you need any.

Sounds interesting. I have some questions.

What time of year and how was weather?

Also how did you get to first Scandnavian country? Ferry from where to where? Or can you drive Estonia, Russia to Finland?

Any pictures? Cheers

Hi sorry for the late response.
We left the Uk on 1st June and had a ferry booked from Estonia, Talin to Helsinki Finland on 16th July.
I wouldn’t imagine you could go through Russia without a visa.
Loads of photos but will have to think how to upload some
Any further help just ask

Hi Pauline

got tickets to the 2018 world cup in Russia and will be going overland with my 15 yr son and bongo.

Plan is to drive through the following countries France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland then into Kaliningrad (tickets for four matches), then Baltic countries and into mainland Russia to watch game in St Petersburg.

Coming home hopefully via Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Any and all information will be greatly received

Many thanks

Paul

Try a e mail to the Bongomeister, there is a prettty active Bongo Club in Russia and a meeting was organised a few years ago.

Ian may still have contacts.

Nice one, and welcome to BF. 8)

I can't remember who else went, but with luck someone who did the run will still be on here. :)
