Breakdown cover in Ireland

Post by Frankie » Tue May 02, 2017 6:59 pm

I'm currently with green flag however they have said they can't cover me in Ireland due to be vehicle been over 16 years old. Who have other people used for breakdown cover in Ireland? Have you been able to get cover just for the period of the trip? I don't want to take out another anual cover.

I had to leave Green Flag for Britannia on the 15th birthday. Have had 4 years with them. Used them in Iceland. Had to spend night in torrential rain and high winds. Didn't get out of van and in morning flat battery in middle of nowhere. Rang Britannia. They got someone from France to ring us. Location vague 30 miles between a ferry port and next town. Help arrived in just over an hour. Had a call every 30 minutes from Paris to check that we were OK. Great service.
