MAD as a MARCH HARE meet Fri 16 - Sun 18 March 2018 Easton Royal, nr Pewsey, Wilts
Posted: Fri Dec 08, 2017 2:52 pm
We have moved the Mad as a March Hare meet to the Bruce Arms, Easton Royal, near Pewsey (www.thebrucearms.net). The meet will be Friday 16 to Sunday 18 March 2018 (encompassing St Patrick’s Day). The pub is open 5 - 11 weekdays; 12 - 11 Saturdays; 12 - 7 Sundays. The pub does NOT serve food but excellent freehouse alcohol (CAMRA)! The pub is dog friendly (on lead). No pub food.
We are restricting this meet to 15 units at the moment, unless the landlord approves more. Thinking of visiting for the day? Please park in the car park.
6 hook-ups should be available but with splitters we can probably increase this providing you keep usage to a minimum! Plenty of room for those not requiring hook-up. Dependent upon the weather, we may have to manage where everyone pitches carefully so please wait on the car park before proceeding to a pitch. There are toilets/showers (free), washing up sink, tap, CDP point and washing machine. We may hold a BBQ event on Saturday early evening. Off-ground BBQs are acceptable but no campfires. Well-behaved dogs accepted but must be kept on a lead and all poo picked up and disposed of appropriately.
Prices:
Couples: £18.00 with ehu/£13.00 without ehu (per unit per night). Standard price as on website.
Solo campers: £15.00 with ehu/£10.00 without ehu (per unit per night). The solo camper price is a specially negotiated discount for our meet only. Please don’t turn up at the pub at other times expecting this price! Please pay the landlord direct when you arrive.
There are a number of walks from the pub, depending on how far you want to go and whether you would like to include a pub along the way! The Royal Oak at Wootton Rivers does cracking meals (open Fri 6-11; Sat 12-3 & 6-11; Sun 12 – 10) and there’s a good pub in Stibb Green. Of course, there are also all the pubs in Pewsey. There are off-road paths in all directions.
Please reply to this thread to add your name, whether ehu is essential (E)/preferred (P)/not required (NR) and how many people will be in your unit. Please also remember to cancel your place if you can no longer attend to give someone else a chance to book.
