Live Bands at Bongo Bash 2017

Post by Ian » Sun Dec 11, 2016 1:23 pm

We have now confirmed the entertainment in the main marquee for next year's Bongo Bash. There were requests to move away from rock covers bands, so we are trying something different.

On Friday 23rd June we have Wild Willy Barrett's French Connection. =D> You can view them rehearsing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBJYBRgn5Qo

On Saturday 24th June it's a Soul Revue Band \:D/ , all the way from Bewdley, "Rattlesnake Jake"! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=firwleh4HV4

Booking for next year's Bash starts on 16th March

It might be held in Stourport on Severn for 2017.

Lickhill Manor camp site. Great location for pretty much everything. :D

Rattlesnake Jake look good from the video, looking forward to that.

My only previous encounter with Wild Willy Barrett was when he was with John Otway in the early 80s, and did a little ditty called Headbutts. You should check that one out on YouTube

Woa now THAT looks like a shedload of fun. Yo mah be there, as a James Brown/Stax/Atlantic freak from way back when. Surely this isn't the original Wild Willy Barrett - he plays Spanish guitar way too well for that

If ever there was a Field of Dreams, Lickhill Manor is it. I'd much rather be there than Glastonbury......in a Bongo, of course 8)

Welcome aboard. :D

Do, please, check the site rules before setting up your own disco on site and clear this with Ian.

This isn't meant to sound grumpy but there are residential users on site, local authority licensing issues, and we want to go back.
