Silverdale Revisited ?

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Silverdale Revisited ?

Post by Harry » Tue Jun 03, 2014 8:10 pm

Ten years ago we had our first 'NW Big Autumn Bash' at Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale, Lancs. Over the next several years we had over 70 different bongos join us...many for their first of many bongo meets. I made many good friends with whom I'm still in touch. Many are now BONGOnes (including myself) but still 'camp' having moved on from bongo ownership.

I'm just floating the idea of a 'reunion' meet plus a meet for current owners. Probably early October....I just need to get the long term weather forecast to ensure than we get the usual monsoon or hurricane.

Please let me know if you are interested.

cheers

I'm interested, pending dates and weather! I mean, I will be coming from the sunny south - not!

Ooh that's a long way north!

I'd be a newcomer for this meet but Gibraltar Farm is a strong favourite in our household, so I'd be interested.

We'd definitely be interested in this, Silverdale was our first Bongo-camp, before we got a Bongo but were looking for ideas. 7 years later there's been no looking back :D
